Packaging and handling

Packaging and handling are two essential elements in the supply chain and transportation of goods. These two operations protect, store, transport, and deliver the goods to their destination. Packaging refers to the order and organization of goods in order to protect, transport, and store them from the time of production to the time of consumption. Packaging can be done in a variety of ways, from paper and plastic boxes to bags, barrels, and containers. Moving means moving goods from one place to another. This transfer may be done by means of transportation such as ships, airplanes, trains, trucks, or other types of vehicles.
